THE TRAVELING COUPLE

WHO AM I AND WHAT BROUGHT ME HERE?

Greetings, fellow travelers! My name is Adam Schwent; I’m a travel physical therapist and co-creator of the Trails of a Travel PT blog. For a brief insight into my background, I grew up in Ste. Genevieve, MO, a small rural town ~1 hr south of St. Louis, MO. In my college years, I attended Missouri State University for both undergrad and grad school, receiving degrees in Exercise and Movement Science and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Throughout PT school, I had the privilege of traveling across the country on several different clinical rotations. These experiences, paired with a childhood filled with countless cross-country family vacations, were the fuel that ignited my desire to become a travel physical therapist.

Upon graduating in the middle of a pandemic in May 2020, I decided to pursue those dreams, and I’ve been traveling ever since. I have been very fortunate to experience new places, environments, and opportunities. I have a love for seeking new adventures and exploring this beautiful planet and all it has to offer. Therefore, I want to share those experiences with you all and hope to educate those of you who wish to seek out this adventure too! Sign up for our Newsletter to follow along on my journey as a traveling pt.

MY TRAVEL PARTNER

Hey there! I’m Paige, co-creator of Trails of a Travel PT. Together, Adam and I conquered high school as best friends, which ultimately built our foundation for a secure and loving relationship. After high school, I attended culinary school and played college volleyball at East Central College in Union, MO. Upon graduation, I moved to Springfield to be closer to Adam and start my career as a general manager at a local bakery. Within the 5 years post-graduation, Adam and I moved in together, married in 2018, traveled, and dreamed of what our future held. One day I would love to settle down, have kids, and open my very own bakery, but for now I will soak up the special time, just the two of us, traveling the world, and experiencing life together.

Just like Adam, I thrive on adventure. From paddle boarding, hiking, and rock climbing, to backpacking adventures. Experiencing the world in thrilling new ways or relaxing in beautiful spots across the country is my favorite thing to do. Being able to join Adam and take our life on the road is a journey of a lifetime. And being able to create travel guides for you all to have epic experiences you’ll remember forever is truly a gift.
